The U1-F is the version optimized for delivery businesses. Built on the U1 platform, it brings transport capabilities a standard petrol motorcycle cannot offer: a cold box powered directly by the bike's battery, and customizable space for brand promotion. Every technical solution is calculated to cut costs directly or create new revenue for the operator.
Businesses are not just investing in a motorcycle. What they choose is a solution that runs efficiently every day: goods kept at the right temperature, a brand seen across the city's streets, and a vehicle always ready to ride.
These are the practical solutions the U1-F is designed to deliver, and the list will keep growing as we work alongside operators.
Optimized chilled and frozen delivery on two wheels, with the cold box powered directly by the bike's main battery pack.

See how it works →Fresh food, seafood and frozen goods need strict handling in harsh tropical weather. The Volty U1-F carries a dual cooling system, with chilled and frozen compartments, on the rear deck. It runs in parallel with the drive from the same removable pack: on one battery, the cold holds for 5 to 6 hours of deliveries while the bike covers 52 km.
Planned operating model: orders are batched within an area of under 5 km, a rider drops off 3 to 5 orders per trip, and each round trip averages about 15 km. All figures are with the cold box running.
| Configuration | Estimated range | Trips (15 km each) | Range left | Orders (3 to 5 per trip) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 battery, cold box, 40 kg cargo | ~52.6 km | 3 trips, 45 km | ~7.6 km | ~9 to 15 |
| 2 batteries (2nd at the hub), cold box, 40 kg cargo | ~106.0 km | 6 trips, 90 km | ~16.0 km | ~18 to 30 |
| 1 battery, cold box, 50 kg cargo | ~50.5 km | 3 trips, 45 km | ~5.5 km | ~9 to 15 |
| 2 batteries (2nd at the hub), cold box, 50 kg cargo | ~101.6 km | 6 trips, 90 km | ~11.6 km | ~18 to 30 |
Estimates for planning. Real range varies with speed, traffic, heat and how often the lid opens.
Poor insulation that depends entirely on how fast the ice melts. Opening the lid again and again in the heat loses cold fast, degrades product quality and ruins packaging with condensation.
Oversized for small alleys and easily stuck in rush-hour traffic. Major cities are tightening the rules: Hanoi has barred trucks of 2 tons and above in daytime since January 2026, and a May 2026 Ho Chi Minh City draft would lower its threshold to 1 ton, sharply limiting fleet mobility.
Overloads a frame that was never built for it. A standard motorcycle's electrical system cannot keep up, forcing a separate auxiliary battery that adds technical risk and interrupts operations.
Businesses are held to a short service radius or forced to drop frozen goods from the catalog. The delivery vehicle becomes the barrier that stops the business from scaling.
Cooling integrated into the chassis structure, running in parallel with the drive from the same removable pack, and restored with a single swap.
The cooling system mounts to reinforced load points at the rear of the frame (200 kg maximum payload, rider included). The cooler's weight is already engineered into the standard structure, so the frame is not overloaded.
The cooler draws on the same removable pack as the motor and works at the same time. While the bike rides, the cold keeps running. When the bike is parked, one pack holds the cold for up to two days. No ice to buy, no auxiliary battery to charge, no power outlet needed at the store.
When the packs run low, one swap under two minutes restores both drive power and cooling. The swap station network becomes the continuous energy supply for the business's cold chain.
A wider delivery radius, because the cold is actively controlled. Businesses can add fresh and frozen goods to their in-city delivery range.
More order capacity, with the flexibility to take chilled and frozen food deliveries that conventional vehicles cannot handle. The cold keeps running at pickups and stops.
Lowers the risk of spoiled goods, compensation costs and lost customer trust caused by temperature loss, by holding temperature across the whole delivery route.
Load capacity is not only the weight of the goods. It is also temperature. This is the clearest example of Volty's design approach: take a real operating bottleneck and solve it with a purpose-built vehicle.
The dedicated cooling system is offered as an option on the Volty U1-F business build and priced separately. It shares power with the bike's main packs, so range with cooling running is lower than the standard loaded reference of 140 to 160 km: about 52 km on a single pack during a 5 to 6 hour cold hold. Hold times and range vary with the temperature setting, the load and how often the lid is opened. All figures are estimates; detailed measured figures come with the fleet contract documents.

Delivery bikes work through the whole shift in the busiest parts of the city, moving and stopping at the eye level of everyone on the road. The U1-F body has side panels and box faces optimized for flatness, so operators can easily apply their brand identity or use them commercially as a mobile advertising channel.
The body panels are flat and bolted on, so decals go on precisely with no distorted corners. Each panel is replaced on its own when damaged, keeping maintenance and repainting costs to a minimum.
Brand presence optimized for delivery businesses. Build a professional brand across the city at the running cost of a two-wheeler.
Use the body surface to sell advertising to third-party partners. It adds a revenue stream for the business and helps lower running costs for riders.
Every design and placement is agreed directly with each business, in full compliance with the Law on Advertising and road traffic regulations, before installation. Decal printing and body panel sets are priced separately under the delivery partner program.
The U1-F and its optional configuration packages for delivery partners are in development and field testing. Images on this page are 3D technical renders. All financial and technical figures are estimates and will be confirmed in each partnership contract.
Fleet Economics sets out how much each U1-F cuts costs compared with a petrol motorcycle. Our business solutions team is ready to work with you on a field pilot with cold transport, brand identity, or both.
